On Wednesday, March 9, the City of Eagle held an open house to present the plan and get input from residents. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we ensure the proper information is being provided. Several concerned citizens have brought this issue to our attention and after a line-by-line review the City is posting an updated and complete list of responses. The City has spent the past year working with the public and professionals to analyze the noise, transportation, and environmental impacts of the transfer. The City continues to develop plans for the long-term use of the property, including wildlife corridor preservation, sensitive and endangered species protection, open space, and a potential shooting sports park (approximately 80 acres). The donated land connects parcels owned by the Bureau of Land Management and the State of Idaho, creating a tract of over 1,500 acres of public ownership in the area.
